1 min read
Two Oregon children died from the flu this December, the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) says, while the state continues to face an intense flu season.
According to a new OHA report, nearly 500 flu hospitalizations have occurred during the 2024-2025 season.
These statistics were tracked throughout Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington counties.
146 hospitalizations were reported from Dec. 22 to Dec. 28 alone. A spokesperson for OHA confirmed to KATU that during that period is when the two young children passed away from the flu.
