Brother-in-law of New Orleans terror suspect Shamsud-Din Jabbar speaks out

The brother-in-law of New Orleans terror suspect Shamsud-Din Jabbar spoke anonymously to KATU’s sister station KFDM for the first time since the attack.
Jabbar is accused of ramming a truck into a crowd of people in New Orleans’s bustling French Quarter before starting a gunfight with police. Investigators say they believe Jabbar acted alone and claimed he joined the Islamic State terrorist group last summer and inspired his attack.

In an interview with KFDM, Jabbar’s brother-in-law said the family was blindsided by the events on New Year’s Day.
