Outgoing district attorney’s proposed sentence reductions for 8 inmates draws anger

With just two days left in office, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt is seeking to reduce the sentences of eight people, including a felon convicted of murdering a 75-year-old woman.

The move has at least one former prosecutor outraged.
