Recent advancements in medical care have drastically changed what it means to live with metastatic cancer, the term for cancer that has spread from its original site to other parts of the body. According to the National Cancer Institute, the number of people in the United States living with the six most common metastatic cancers is estimated to grow to nearly 700,000 in 2025.
