Mt. Bachelor celebrates 67th birthday

Mt. Bachelor celebrated its 67th birthday with a big party Thursday. Skiers and snowboarders were treated to cake, ice cream, beer, and more.

We caught up with Gary Camp, a building maintenance technician at Mt. Bachelor. He has worked at the mountain for 47 years and says there isn’t a single chairlift there today that was there when he started.

“It’s never been just the office. It’s the view, the ever-changing landscape, weather, always a new challenge, and some of the most wonderful people you’ll ever want to work with, " Camp said.

Gary says it’s been fun to watch the ski resort grow and see technology improve throughout the decades.
