Multnomah County DA to retry murder charges in downtown Portland road rage shooting

The Multnomah County District Attorney’s (MCDA) Office plans to retry its case against a man accused of shooting and killing another man during a road rage dispute in downtown Portland.

A jury found the shooter, Geoffrey Hammond, guilty of three weapons and assault charges but was deadlocked on charges of second-degree murder and attempted murder.
