Jewell School District principal resigns amid sex abuse scandal

Jewell School District Principal George Scott resigned Monday night at the school board meeting.

George’s resignation comes days after the Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office took a 13-year-old Jewell School student into custody following a complaint of sexual abuse against the student. The alleged victim was another student.
