Holden LeCroy: Brief period of heavy rain and gusty winds tonight before calmer conditions Wednesday. The heavy rain and gusty winds, a culprit of a cold front associated with the same low pressure that brought us milder temperatures today that has also driven snow levels up to 7000′ meaning rain at the passes tonight. The front is brief- drier, but not necessarily clearer conditions will immediately follow for Wednesday afternoon and into Friday. The break is precipitation will last through Friday with wet and colder conditions returning this weekend with mountain snow.
