King Tides Impact Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast on Saturday, December 14 #katu2abc #kingtide

King tides will return to Oregon’s coast this weekend.

The extra-strong gravitational pull will cause especially high and low tides that occur each winter.

Steve Strohmaier of the U.S. Coast Guard advised caution for those visiting the coast.

"So really think what’s safe, stand there and double it for individuals that are standing way too close," Strohmaier said.
