Many parents fed up with St. Helens School District amid sex abuse scandal

Parents gave emotional testimonies during a St. Helens School Board meeting Wednesday night.

It’s the first public comment session since St. Helens High School Principal Katy Wagner was arrested for allegedly not reporting student sexual abuse claims to authorities.

St. Helens School District parents are fed up with what they say is a lack of transparency from the board to the families.

“The school board needs to go, all of them, and have new school board put in,” said Ric McKean, a district parent.
