Rain, wind and snow return for Friday and Saturday

Storm expected to bring showers for the coast as early as Friday morning, but rain will spread inland by the afternoon and well into Saturday. A widespread swath of about an inch of rainfall is expected. It’s not just the rain, wind is expected to kick up Friday afternoon. Coast gusts could approach 50mph, inland gusts around 30mph or so at times. As far as snow goes, a lot of it. About 12-18 inches of new snow is expected over the course of this weekend. Another storm will approach by Monday, but the second half of next week is appearing drier and calmer. Stay tuned./
