Suspect charged with shooting teen threatened to shoot neighbor in August, video shows

The Portland woman accused of shooting a 17-year-old boy at an apartment complex Friday night pleaded not guilty on Monday.

Natasha Molett, 37, is charged with attempted murder, assault, felon in possession of a firearm, and unlawful use of a weapon.

A PPB officer interviewed the victim at the hospital, who provided his account of the crime. The teen told the officer he thought Molett was asking about his dog but “was being confrontational,” so he ignored her and kept walking while she continued to follow and call out to him.

The teen said when he turned around, he saw Molett holding what he thought was a blue gun. He said she then shot him, hitting him twice and breaking his leg. The boy told the officer there wasn’t anyone else outside and he had to call for help.
