City of Bend defends new 3rd and Wilson intersection, says more of design to come

The popularity of protected intersections is gaining momentum around the country, a trend the city plans to follow. The new design slows traffic down when making right turns, increasing the time for bikers and drivers to react, potentially avoid a crash.
