Portland parents demand action on open drug use, crime near Couch Park

Parents and neighbors in Northwest Portland are calling on the city to do something about open drug use around schools and parks. A group of them meets regularly at Couch Park to discuss solutions.
“[There are] needles all over the playgrounds, all over the routes to school, excrement thrown at us, excrement on the ground on the way to school,” Meghan Skornia said describing what walks are like when she takes her son to preschool.
