“A raucous caucus” seeks to determine if Tiffany Henyard can seek re-election in Thornton Township

Will Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany henyard have the chance to be re-elected next year? It’s a question a caucus will attempt to answer Tuesday night in an uncommon political process.

Henyard, an embattled politician in the south suburbs of Chicago, has been fighting allegations of corruption and fraudulent spending of taxpayer dollars for months, but she’s about to embark on a new fight for a chance to keep her job.

Thornton Township’s Democratic Party is holding a caucus instead of a primary election for the first time in decades.
