Firefighters warn Christmas tree fires can cause millions in damages and be deadly

Tis the season to be jolly but a Christmas tree fire could get in the way of that.

On Monday, a Christmas tree safety demonstration was put on by Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue.

Officials say Christmas tree fires cause millions of dollars in property damage and can also be deadly.

Firefighters say to water your tree, check your lights and wires, and keep trees at least 3 feet away from heat sources.
