Antioch Missionary Baptist Church moves forward with rebuilding plans

In Englewood, Tuesday morning brought the promise of renewed faith. A groundbreaking was held in an empty lot in the 6200 block of South Stewart Avenue, where Antioch Missionary Baptist Church stood for nearly a century. In April 2022, the church caught fire after Good Friday services. The fire was sparked by a blow torch being used by workers renovating the roof.
