Multnomah County free preschool program ‘not successful’ without provider buy-in, director says
1 min read
Multnomah County is currently vetting more than 60 new applicants for its Preschool for All program – a tax-funded program that offers free preschool to eligible families.
There are currently just over 2,000 children taking advantage. The number is expected to top 2,200 in January and grow to 11,000 by the fall of 2030.
The county said it’d know by early February how many new providers join the fold for the 2025-2026 school year. Right now, roughly 80 providers operate 135 facilities across the county.
