Judge sentences former JSO detective to 24+ years, says he used position to groom, harm child victim

A former member of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit who pleaded guilty in July to enticement of a minor to engage in unlawful sexual activity was sentenced to more than 24 years in federal prison on Thursday.
