Chief denies police advised school district keep Oregon teacher accused of sex abuse in classroom

The St. Helens acting police chief on Thursday denied that his department advised the St. Helens School District to keep a 46-year-old choir teacher at St. Helens High School accused of sexually abusing students in the classroom.
School Board Chair Ryan Scholl said otherwise during a board meeting Wednesday night.
