Gov. Tina Kotek announced the death of former Oregon Senate Presidnt Peter Courtney in an early afternoon news release. Later, she attended a naming ceremony at the Oregon State Hospital naming the facility the Peter Courtney Salem Campus of the Oregon State Hospital in recognition of Courtney’s efforts to improve mental health care.
