Holden LeCroy: Rain returns Saturday, light snow possible down to 1000-FEET Sunday night. Storm system is far away, but the effects will be felt as early as Saturday afternoon. Rain as much as 2-inches through Sunday night and snow as much as 18-inches at pass level. Choppy seas remain for the Oregon Coast coupled with the ongoing king tides, best to keep the ocean at a distance this weekend.
There’s a warm side and a cold side to the incoming storm. Snow levels will rise to 7000-feet on Saturday night, but plummet to as low 1000-feet Monday afternoon. Most snow will remain above 2000-FEET of elevation, but a dusting possible down to Oakridge and McKenzie Bridge.
Wind will not be terrible with this event, but wind gusts of up to 30mph is possible at times, 40mph gusts for coast and cascades.
Conditions remain active through next week with the only chance of sunshine towards Tuesday, stay tuned.
