Amazon’s plans for Columbia River nuclear energy facilities

Amazon recently announced plans to partner with Energy Northwest and X-Energy to construct 4 SMR (Small Modular Reactors) Nuclear facilities on the Columbia River, near Richland, WA. These facilities will power Amazon’s ‘data farms’ in the area, used for AWS. Shannon Kellogg, Vice President of Public Policy at Amazon, will join to discuss the benefits to the area and answer questions regarding safety concerns with the facilities.
