SWAT team apprehends local man accused of heinous crime #katu2abc #oregon #news #wilsonville

A 34-year-old Wilsonville man is under arrest after authorities say he killed his father.

Clackamas County SWAT Team took Michael Morris McCann into custody early Sunday morning, November 10, at his apartment in Wilsonville. Video from a KATU viewer shows McCann being handcuffed after laying facedown on a sidewalk.

On Saturday, November 9, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious circumstance at a residence off South Ellis Road in unincorporated Clackamas County, south of Molalla. When they arrived, they found 70-year-old Michael James McCann deceased, officials said in a press release.

Michael McCann has been booked into the Clackamas County Jail on the charge of murder in the second degree and unlawful use of a weapon, officials said.

McCann is being held without bail. The case remains under investigation.
