Multnomah County to grant sheriff’s request for nearly $1M for HR department

Multnomah County Commissioners voted unanimously on Thursday to okay a $965,885 emergency budget ask from the Sheriff’s Office. The money will be used to upstaff the agencies’ Human Resource Department which in turn is expected to help speed up correction officer hiring.
