Fog rolls in again Thursday morning, but rain holds off to Saturday

1 min read

HOLDEN LECROY: Fog rolls in again Thursday morning, but rain holds off to Saturday. Cold air pools in the valley tonight allowing temps to drop to freezing and fog to develop. Mainly clear night for foothills and Oregon Coast. Thursday afternoon should yield warmer temperatures than Wednesday, but all dependent on how much low clouds clear. Likely approaching 60-degrees inland if clouds clear sooner. 60s likely for Oregon Coast. Friday, clouds increase ahead of changes for the weekend. A very active pattern likely sets up this weekend, but complete ‘washout’ conditions should hold off until Sunday. Scattered showers Saturday, widespread rain on Sunday. Its all because of a shift in the upper-atmosphere pattern. We’re switching from high pressure on Wednesday to multiple areas of low pressure this weekend and next week. This will not only bring multiple rounds of rain, but also significantly drop afternoon temperatures next week with mountain snow ramping up as early as Monday.
