Dogs rescued after being found next to wildfire
1 min read
More than a dozen dogs living in rural Wasco County were rescued from the flames of the Larch Creek wildfire, the Oregon Humane Society says.
The OHS says they were contacted by the Dalles Police Department’s Animal Control Officer about the dogs, who were living in a remote area of the county that was affected by the blaze.
Working with the Columbia Gorge Humane Society, the team rescued the dogs and transported them to OHS’ new Rescue Center.
