Thunderstorm chances drift north into Douglas, Lane Counties Tuesday afternoon
1 min read
Holden LeCroy: High pressure to the east of us will keep temperatures hot, but with the help of a subtle low pressure feature offshore- thunderstorm chances drift north into Douglas, Lane Counties Tuesday afternoon. This feature will also bring a pretty strong marine layer Tuesday morning for the coast with low clouds and mist at times throughout the day. Inland though, mainly dry but thunderstorms will increase in the afternoon, best of which being along the Cascades and into the eastern foothills. Combination of clouds and weak low pressure offshore will lead to much cooler temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday, but DO NOT get used to it. Heat will build right back in for Friday and Saturday. Week of July 22 appears to be trending much cooler as well. Stay tuned.
