Chicago mayor ousts school board chief after one week

New Board of Education President Rev. Mitchell Johnson has resigned just seven days after assuming the post. His departure is effective immediately and comes at the request of Mayor Brandon Johnson, a statement from the mayor’s office said. It follows the revelation of concerning social media posts about the Hamas-Israel conflict, women, and the September 11, 2001 terror attacks.
