Aldermen blast mayor’s police ‘shell game’

Several Chicago aldermen blasted what they see as a “shell game” being played by Mayor Brandon Johnson when it comes to police staffing.
It follows a WGN Investigates report that found despite Johnson’s pledge as a candidate to hire or promote 200 more detectives, there are only two more detectives on the job today than there were when he took office.
