PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland Police have released new details about a suspect wanted in connection with a series of ballot box arsons in Portland and Vancouver.
Investigators say the suspect is believed to be responsible for two ballot box arsons on Monday – one of which destroyed possibly hundreds of ballots in Vancouver – and another incident earlier in October.
The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 30 and 40, with balding or very short hair, and a medium to thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark shirt and has a "thin face."
Authorities noted that the suspect as a "wealth of knowledge" or experience in metal fabrication and welding.
The vehicle associated with the suspect, a black or dark-colored 2001-2004 Volvo S-60, is described as having a more matte color, with a tan or light grey interior, an aftermarket grill missing a Volvo emblem, dark wheels, and unpainted body trim. The car also lacks a front license plate.
Investigators believe the suspect plans to continue these targeted attacks.
