Valley rain, mountain snow early on Thursday, but clearing by evening with sunshine and cooler temperatures. Main area of low pressure swings inland tonight bubbling up the atmosphere and to create a wet, chilly start to Thursday. That cold air will drop snow levels to as low as 4000-feet in spots Thursday morning producing 3-5 inches of snow at pass level. Frost is expected on Friday morning, but a clearing and afternoon warming trend into Saturday with 70-degrees not out of the question. By Sunday night, a strong storm is expected due to the position of our upper-level pattern. A negatively tilted trough of low pressure will amplify rain totals for Sunday night and into Monday bringing a true atmospheric river back to the Northwest.
