A NASA spacecraft has blasted off on a quest to explore Jupiter’s moon Europa and reveal whether its hidden ocean might hold the keys to life. A University of Oregon professor helped design models for instruments aboard the spacecraft that will gather data on Europa’s icy surface and the ocean beneath it.
