Mom of 2-year-old who died from suspected fentanyl OD appears in court for carjacking

The Portland mother who disappeared after her 2-year-old was killed by a suspected fentanyl overdose was in court Friday for an armed carjacking.
Mary Elizabeth Jacobo, 26, is accused of first-degree armed robbery, second-degree armed robbery, coercion with a firearm, being a felon in possession of a firearm, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and menacing.
The alleged carjacking happened two weeks after police say Jacobo fled her home in northeast Portland while her 2-year-old daughter, Aurora Fernandez, was in cardiac arrest for a suspected fentanyl overdose.
