Portland City Council approves plan to renovate Keller Auditorium, create new space

Portland City Council on Thursday voted to approve a plan to build a new space on the campus of Portland State University and renovate the current Keller Auditorium as a two-prong approach for the future of the venue.

The city’s premiere performing arts space needs a facelift and like many buildings in the metropolitan area, Keller wasn’t built to withstand an earthquake. It also needs overall safety upgrades.
