Beaverton teachers inch toward a strike as clash over salary, working conditions continue

Unionized Beaverton public school teachers are inching closer toward a strike. After over seven months of negotiations, the educators and the district are continuing to clash over salary and working conditions, among other issues.

Several dozen members of the teachers union, the Beaverton Education Association, crowded Tuesday’s district board meeting with high energy and chants.
