Aurora viewing Thursday night, clouds return Friday, rain next week

Aurora viewing Thursday night, clouds return Friday, then rain and chilly next week. A couple of weak cold fronts brought the clouds Wednesday, but will clear for Thursday evening. Ideal timing for the Northern Lights viewing across Oregon. Its a narrow and brief window after civil twilight on Thursday, but best towards 9pm. By Friday, clouds return with a similar cold front like Wednesday dropping us back into the 60s, but also bringing the possibility of mist. Clouds will clear by 8-9am on Saturday leaving perfect conditions for the Ducks game at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Afternoon highs in the 70s for both days this weekend, but that could very well be our last as a shift to rainy and cool weather is looking LIKELY towards next Tuesday. Stay tuned for changes.
