St. Johns business owners call on the city for help against theft and break-ins

Small business owners in the St. Johns neighborhood are asking the city and police for help. They tell KATU, that their community is plagued with crime.
"I feel like St. Johns is sort of treated like the red-headed stepchild of Portland. We’re forgotten about," said Nicole Blanchette, the owner of Leisure Public House.
Business owners are standing side by side in St. Johns, demanding the city do something about the constant vandalism and break-ins they say they’re dealing with.
"There are days that I wonder, does Portland want small businesses and I hate to have to wonder that question out loud but I have to struggle so much with the lack of resources and support," said Jasmine Goodwin, owner of Weddinglandia.
