Employee brutally assaulted at Portland gas station over pastry, suspect released by judge

Victoria Perez, a longtime employee at a Chevron station in Northeast Portland, is grappling with the aftermath of a violent assault that began with a pastry.
Perez, who has worked at Northeast 47th and Sandy station for 12 years, said the incident occurred on September 14.
She is still trying to understand why the man accused of attacking her, Jerry Glassman, is out of jail.
