Hurricane Helene causes storm surge to batter Florida bridge

Video taken on Thursday shows storm surge and strong winds on the Howard Frankland bridge near Tampa, Florida. FHP noted Skyway and Howard Frankland bridges are closed. Helene is bringing storm surge and gusty winds to parts of Florida’s west coast as it churned toward landfall, which is expected to hit in Florida’s Big Bend.
