Oregon goes “lights out” through Oct 19 to protect migrating birds

To make your own home bird-safe, the Bird Alliance of Oregon recommends turning off outdoor lights and drawing blinds or curtains. The Go Lights Out campaign continues through Oct 19, when the peak migration season comes to a close.
