WNBA coming back to Portland could be a big win for businesses

Jim Etzel, CEO of Sport Oregon, has been a staunch proponent of bringing a WNBA team back to Portland.
Portland last had a WNBA team back in 2002. The Portland Fire folded after three seasons due to low ticket sales.
Etzel said Portland’s economy today compared to the last time the city had a women’s basketball team is radically different.
