Another 5 degrees shaved off for Thursday, Friday with gusty afternoon winds

It’s all about perspective, right? Well, we are "cooler" than what we have been experiencing, shaving off about 10 degrees Wednesday afternoon, but tomorrow we’ll keep the trend going and trimming down another 5 degrees.
High pressure weakens and the pattern change will first result in gustier winds the next couple of afternoons making it feel cooler. Coastal winds between 30-35mph and inland wind speeds in the 20-25mph range. Temperatures will still remain hot for the Willamette Valley and Umpqua Basin with temperatures upwards of 90 degrees Thursday, Friday and into the weekend.
Improvements are not necessarily from a cold front, but that weakening high pressure that’s also advancing a bit south and east. As a result, temperatures will tick down. 90s, though appears to be a thing of the distant future with no major cooldown through the next 15-days.
