Local agencies unite to tackle beetle infestation threatening Oregon ash trees

We are getting a better look at how conservation experts are dealing with an invasive beetle targeting Oregon’s ash trees.

The bug was first discovered in Washington County in June of 2022.

Earlier this summer, KATU News reported the Oregon Department of Agriculture had also discovered it in Yamhill, Marion, and Clackamas counties.

ODA says it’s trying to slow the spread with limited resources.
