YVYV: Marcus Mundy, Coalition of Communities of Color and Yes on Measure 117

One of the ballot measures Oregonians will be voting on in less than two months will change the way we vote for candidates.

Ballot Measure 117 will establish ranked-choice voting for certain elections in Oregon.

Ranked choice voting currently takes place in Benton County.

The City of Portland will use it for the first time in November, and Multnomah County will start in 2026.

Oregon lawmakers voted last year to put ranked-choice voting on this November’s ballot.

Marcus Mundy, with the Coalition of Communities of Color, and a member of the Yes on Measure 117 campaign joins KATU’s Steve Dunn on this week’s edition of Your Voice, Your Vote.
