Questions surround Oregon nurse’s murder as accused neighbor awaits next court hearing

There are many unanswered questions about the death of Melissa Jubane, who was murdered less than two weeks after getting married to her fiancé in August. Jubane was a beloved member of her community and a dedicated nurse at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland.

Jubane, 32, was found dead on Sept. 6, just two days after being reported missing. Jubane’s neighbor, 27-year-old Bryce Jonathan Schubert, is behind bars accused in her murder.
