Hurricane Francine is expected to strengthen before landfall in Louisiana

Francine strengthened to become a Category 1 hurricane Tuesday night in the Gulf of Mexico, according to the National Hurricane Center. Hurricane Francine is expected to make landfall somewhere over Louisiana on Wednesday, the NHC said, with life-threatening storm surge and hurricane-force winds.
