Weekend Break: A marathon that’s making waves for ALS research at a La Grange pool

You’ve heard of running marathons on land before. Under water? Now that’s unusual, but that’s what one woman was doing — with the company of many friends — on Sunday in southwest suburban La Grange, as more than 250 people signed up to raise money for ALS research and support their friend.
