MultCo JOHS launches tech tool to show real-time shelter availability for homeless

Multnomah County’s Joint Office of Homeless Services is launching a new technology tool they say shows the availability of homeless shelter beds in real time.

According to the agency, the tracking tool gives real-time information about beds at the 11 shelters participating in the City of Portland and Multnomah County’s Shelter Set-Aside Program. These shelters regularly keep beds in reserve for people who are referred from camps facing removal following the county’s reinforcement of the camping ban.
