The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and other agencies released new details Monday about the Fairview plane crash that killed three people over the weekend.
The NTSB was joined by Multnomah County Sheriff Nicole Morrisey O’Donnell, Gresham Fire Department Chief Scott Lewis, and Fairview Mayor Keith Kudrna at a press conference near the site of the crash.
At roughly 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, a twin-engine Cessna 421C crashed into a residential neighborhood in Fairview. The Cessna was attempting to land at the Troutdale Airport. Audio recordings from LIVEATC.net indicate the plane was having control issues.
